Talented local artisans handcraft every piece in the Palmer Design Collection. We work closely with the artisans to ensure that each individual order is given the care and attention needed to fulfill the exact specifications of the client's request. Each artisan is a master of their trade, therefore ensuring the finest quality in all that they create.

We use premium quality materials for all of our products. Our wooden drapery hardware and lamps are hand carved from basswood. Bass is our wood of choice because its remarkably even texture successfully holds finishes, achieves a clean cut when carved and is difficult to chip. Basswood is very dense, therefore providing strength to the product without being a heavy wood.

The iron drapery hardware and accessories we offer are hand wrought by talented artisans who construct each and every detail. In the rods, rings, finials, and brackets. Depending on the width of the desired twist, either a hot or cold manipulation is used to achieve the look. Every detail is hammered or sculpted into each piece of your drapery hardware, pull or accessory.

All of our products are hand painted with distinctive finishes ranging from a simple application to elaborate leafing. This added attention to detail creates a product that is a work of art.

Palmer Design is the creation of Anna Palmer and Charlotte Palmer Riley bench marking off the inspiration and creative talents of their mother, Sheila Palmer. The family developed their business in 1992 to address the need in the marketplace for beautiful, high quality drapery hardware.
